Are rentals cheaper in Vancouver suburbs vs Toronto ?

Hi

There is a cliche that vancouver is expensive.

But when i compare rentals in surrey BC vs missisauga ON.... both suburbs of big cities i find surrey cheaper.

Also on cost compare sites.... cosr of living on vancouver is actually lower than toronto... especially now april 2019

Is this true ?

Surrey is gangland..hence the cheaper rents.

No way cost of living lower than Toronto. In terms of gas prices, I heard metro Vancouver maybe highest in North America!

That is the city, but maybe it is lower in the surrounding suburbs.
As for gas prices, they may be higher in Vancouver, but that is a combination of A LOT of things

Greater Vancouver vs greater Toronto, Vancouver definitely wins. These results are skewed due to a certain part of Surrey.
