Will I get asked for past banking history by immigration when they receive my PR application?

yes but normally for last six months

Thank you for your help.

I have been in Canada on a skilled worker permit for the past 3 years, I have sent my PR application and waiting on a decision, I am worried because I defaulted on an English Credit card last month, and went over drawn on my UK bank account, the bank has closed my account and put a charge on my UK home. So immigration will ask to see my UK banking history? My Canadian banking history is perfect.

In my view for immigration, liquidity / financial strength is more important. Nominal defaults do happen and if you have cleared the debt later, hopefully will not be of any concern. In the routine process, applicant is asked to submit three to six month bank statement to assure that u will be able to handle financial shortfalls in Canada.

As u are in Canada and have not defaulted in any Canadian bank, local credit agencies assess yr credit worthiness based on your local performance only. In short and in my view, no worries
