I'm currently in India and my bank a/c is in Canada.. My bank would be fussy to draft a personalized bank letter mentioning average balance and stuff. Is it okay to get 6 months detailed bank statements instead for the POF requirement?
Are 6 month bank statements enough if no bank letter?

Yes it should be fine. Many people have gotten the PPR approved when providing bank statements as the POF.
