April applicant still wating for request of sendng passport

I applied for CEC in April, 2014, completed medical exam in November. However, I have not received anything from CiC since last November. My friend applied for CEC in May, 2014. He just sent passport for CIC last week. I'm wondering why it takes so long to make decision. Today, I checked personal CIC account, still no start processing. What's wrong with it? Can I send email to ask? Plz help/

Of course you can always follow up on your application by sending a query via email. Depending on your query they get back to you in matter of days to weeks.

Every application is unique, so don't compare yours to your friend's! I would suggest that you stay patient and wait a little bit longer. Then send an email and follow up. If you didn't get any satisfying answer, go to your local MP (member of parliament) with your documents and let them to follow up on your application. They have their own contacts inside CIC. They will usually get back to you with an answer in 48 hours.

Don't worry mate, your ship will sail eventually. Just hang in there!
