I am starting this thread for those planning to apply in April 2013(though its already half way through the month)

BUT I am so nervous as I just sent in my application today(April 15).

Lets share our experiences and help each other out!

They received mine in april and they charged the 550 fee already.....so guess thats a good sign, and its quicker then i anticipated

i filed my Cec application through an agent , i guess they have received my application around 15th april 2013
so when shud i expect the file number,

can any one suggest me how can i sponsor my wife to come to canada b4 i get my PR, as i just got married in feb 2013 and her visitor visa got denied.
Is there any other way to sponsor her,
after i submit my application i sent my old passport to renewal and my TRV visa will get expired on dec 2013.

plz suggest me

Sandeep, please use the thread for the April 2013 applicant and add your file there. It should also give you a pretty accurate indication of when to expect your AOR.

You spouse can try to apply for an open work permit in her home country. She will need to send documents to prove your marriage and that you are living and working in Canada legally. As for your TRV, you can apply for a new one as long as you have a valid work permit.
