appying for PR with assult charges

hello.

long story short,

im here on a visitors pass and applying for PR via family sponsorship.
i got my work permit and have a PR in proccess

not long ago i got picked up by the cops and got charged with 2 assult charges and 2 threats.

the people who i "assulted" is lying and i did not assult anyone, now that they are understanding
how serios this situation has become for me and my family they want to make things right and have
changed theyr statments with the cops...
by the way the cops has made alots of stuff upp by them self,

i have a lawyer and this proccess might take a long time, it might even go to trail?

have anyone be in a simular situation? and how did it work out for them or you?

Your PR application cannot be finalized until your charges are dealt with. So if you end up having to go to trial - CIC will put your application processing on hold until the trial has been completed and the outcome of your charges is known.
