Approved Student visa (TRV) but want to visit Canada first

Hello, I have an approved TRV as a student for program commencing in Sept,2020. I want to visit Canada first (in june if travel is open again) since i am confused about my plan of studying in Canada due to Covid -19 pandemic.

I am a working professional from India who was supppsed to quit job and study but right now it doesnt feel right due to global economy going in slowdown.

Is it possible to undertake a one week journey on the same student visa?Or do i need to apply for another Visitor visa?Kindly advise.

you will likely be questioned as to why you need to come to Canada so early and asked to provide proof of extra funds to support yourself. Some students have been refused entry if there are concerns that they arriving too early and won’t be able to support themselves without working. Would really suggest arriving in a July at the earliest especially given covid. Would assume covid May make it impossible to land in June to begin with.
