APPROVED!!! But change to earlier intake

A friend got an approved student visa. In that application the LOA is for a 2 year diploma in Education, for Sept 2022.

This person wants to change program to a 2 year diploma in Business, same DLI, for May 2022 intake and can get new LOA for this.

Is this ok? Will there be question from immigration officer in the airport?

I heard once approved, it is easier to change to a delayed (deferred) intake, but gets complicated if it is an earlier intake than what was sent during the application?

I appreciate any input, thoughts, experiences on this.
