Hi There,
I hope someone can help. My spouse's application has been rejected because they had been asking for additional documentation which we never got the communication for.... it had been lost in a junk mail folder. I do have correspondence back and forth from them regarding not receiving the correspondence and trying to correct an error on our zip code.
If we appeal this decision will it reopen the application so that we can complete it, or is appealing it solely for reversing the decision? Or should we not appeal and get our money back and reapply? Will having this refusal hurt our chances next time?
Please help!

Hi

There is no point in appealing, as you were correctly refused for not sending the additional documentation. You should ask your MP to inquire about having the app re-opened. If IRCC won't re-open the app, apply again. This refusal will not hurt a future application.

Ask the MP from your previous residence in Canada.
