Applying visitors visa with ongoing express entry profile

I have received ITA in march and after submission of my fee, my profile is only at background check since last month
According to time bar in my profile, i'll be getting a response from them around september but i need to visit canada in june. Can being an express Entry candidate may ruin or weaken my tourist visa application. I have given them my biometrics already under express entry and i also have a positive LMIA. I really need to be in canada for a week in june

Yes, it can undermine a visitor visa because the visa officer will assume you will attempt to stay until your PR application is decided.
