I have applied under FSW under arranged employment and recieved AOR from CIO,Novascotia on 08 Feb,2011. I will be completing 2 yrs work experience in Canada in Oct 2011 and so will be eligible for applying under CEC.As my PGWP expires in April 2012 and as the processing time for FSW applications are taking very long can I apply under CEC to be on the safe side.

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated !!

Yes, you could also apply for CEC, but you state that you won't be eligible until Oct 2011. You should know that these days, CEC applications are taking at least a year to process...

you do know that people with 2 years or more education in Canada and PGWP are eligible for after 1 year NOT 2 years. Could you elaborate on your canadian education, so we can properly give you advise?

My course was for 4 semesters ,2 years but I took exemptions in the first one to save money and as a result became part time student. For CEC u need full 4 semesters of full time study with a minimum of 14 hrs per week ,not very sure about the hours.I studied for only 5 hours per week.Thats the reason I have to work for 2 years in Canada and then apply for CEC.

Do I have to pay the fees when I apply for CEC ??? I have already applied and paid for FSW application. Also I have already submitted my IELTS results,so now how do I prove language profienciency ???

Yes, you have to pay the fees. Different application so new fees. See if you can get another original from the organization that gave you the test. The IELTS are good for 2 years.
