Dear Friends,

I'm sending my application this week, no time left for me, Please advise me on the following questions:

1 - Do I have to include all small travel trips in the personal history and address section in the Background Declaration,, will be pain cus I travelled alot last 5 years?

2- Will my wife bank account will be considered for the settlement funds?

3- I'm studnet in Canada now, In case my application failed, does it affect my study permit renewal in the future??,, you now in Generic Application Form they ask you if you apply to stay in Canada permanently or you have rejection in any application in the past.

4- Both me and my wife eligible to apply,, my points are 69, her points are 70. we could not decide if one of the applications better than the other,, Can We submit 2 independence files, In case one didn't make it So we have another chance,, Or there is a role for couple to apply one application ??

5- I'm applying for the NOC 2145, "Petroleum Engineer", I do have 4 years experience as a Petroleum Engineer, but my education background not the same, its Engineering though, but its Electrical Engineering, I switch my career after graduation,, Is that gonna make issue with the VO evaluation.

Many thanks all in advance and appreciate all your inputs.

I hope seniors respond to you. In the meanwhile, the following is my humble opinion:

1 - Yes, please include all trips. If they feel you are dishonest, it might hurt other parts of your application. If there is something that you don't have information/memory about e.g. dates you were in a particular place, just attach an Addendum (i.e. a plain letter) explaining your reasons why you don't have memory/information.

2 - If your wife is also applying as part of your family, yes her bank account will be considered. If she is not part of the application, then I don't think. I could be wrong here.

3 - This is a part I am not sure.

4 - I know that one person can send in multiple applications under different NOCs at the same time. From this I think (not sure) you and your wife can submit two applications. In one you are the principal applicant, and your wife is the dependent, and the other vice versa. Please don't consider the possibility of applying independently. Once you get PR, it is a bit difficult to get your dependent. Also there will be a lot of questions why your dependent is not coming along. Finally, if you have children it would be even more complicated. I think submit two applications, with each of your as the principal. It would cost a lot more. Also you will have to get original documents for each (except, I'm not sure about IELTS).

5 - The VO's are bureaucrats i.e. they are a bit legalistic. They would look at the description here: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2145 and see if you qualify. Is Electrical Engineering similar to Petroleum Engineer?? I have no clue. If you have a License/Certification in the field, it would be very helpful. If you have the money, there is no harm in trying.

Finaslly, please submit your application by the end of this MONTH!!!!

Any other input please

Consider posting (hijacking) the main FSW thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.0.html There seem to be more knowledgeable guys there.
