Applying RTD in person vs through mail

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to ask the difference between applying the RTD in person vs through mail. Now I dont have an urgent reason to travel, however I did want to travel during Chritsmas holidays. I heard applying in person would still expedit the process even if it wasnt for an urgent reason. Is that true?

You can apply via post. but if you live near Ottawa then apply in person or else 20 working days via mail. it does not include posting time.

I actually live in Kitchener which would be like 6 hours drive. But I wanted to make sure the drive would be worth it, i.e, will speed up things.

If you're ready to pay more fees , you can have it accelerate the process , yes .
