Dear all,

I am a Polish citizen, married to a Canadian, currently living in Canada (beautiful BC!) on my 6-month visa-free stay.
We were planning to apply inland, had all our documents lined up... and then few days ago I stumbled upon the possibility of applying for PR using an outland VO (Warsaw, in my case).
I like the idea of shorter processing times because as many, I'd like to get on with my life rather than stay home and be idle.
I am still a little bit confused by the process, and I would really appreciate some help from those of you who are going through, or went, a similar process (in which case, congrats! It must be such a relief to not have to deal with immigration shenanigans) So, maybe you could shed some light on……..

1) I did an upfront medical mid-September 2014 in Canada. During my visit, I specified that I am going to apply inland. My doctor, as far as I know was using e-Medical and I did not have to bring any forms with me, just a passport. At the end of the visit I received a proof of it (but it doesn't look like one of those IMM forms) My question is, does this medical exam still count now that I want to apply outland? I am aware that I might be asked to do my medex again, as it is only valid for 12 months.

2) I am in Canada right now, enjoying my 6-month visa-free stay. My plan is to extend it, while waiting for my outland application to be accepted. I have seen few people on this forum do the same thing; so I guess my question is- I do not have to be in Poland, where my application is going to be processed? I can stay in Canada, as long as I extend my visitor stay? Since I am in Canada right now, how does that affect "Address" fields in IMM forms? Do I put in my current Canadian address?

3) Could you tell me if I understand correctly: I send my FULL application package to the CPC Mississauga, ON? Both sponsor+ principal applicant+ all the documents+ proof of relationship? Is CPC-M where sponsor gets assessed, and then the whole application is forwarded to Poland for (approx.8 month) applicant assessment?

4) We were married in the UK, our marriage certificate is in English. I understand we need to send a copy of it, but, does it have to be notarized? How about my passport and ID document photocopies- do they have to be notarized, too? I have my Polish Birth Certificate translated by a sworn translator of the English language, does that count as a certified document or do I have to get it notarized?

Thank you to everyone of you, who would even consider reading such a long message in a hectic Christmas season. All the best to you, may your inbox be filled with happy news from CIC. :)

1. yes, you can use the same emedical receipt. there is no difference in the exam.
2. no, you don't have to return to poland to submit the application. yes, you can be in canada when submitting the application and waiting for approval by extending your stay as planned. yes, you can use your current canadian address in your application if you plan to be here the whole time. this is the address the visa office will use to send your approval paper.
3. yes, that is correct.
4. if your country specific guide doesn't specifically say things need to be notarized and that copies are sufficient, that is all you send. it is not necessary to notarize or send originals unless it is specifically states in the guide that it must be notarized or original.

Thank you so much rhcohen2014! :) I just wanted to make sure I understand everything right before submitting an application. It seems too good to be true!
