I have been accepted for graduate study in canada and I am currently applying for an study permit. Also, I obtained a PR with my family 5 years ago. But, I have not met the obligations since I have not been in canada for more than 5 years.

I searched the internet and it seems that my PR status should be resolved. I wonder if this affects the process of my study permit, and what should I do in this case.

I will be really thanlful if somebody can help me, please.

What do you mean “ should be resolved?”

How old are you? If 18-20, you may have options. If older, You need to renounce your PR status before applying for a study permit.
