Hi
I m from Pakistan. Currently working as a lecturer in one of the leading college of Oman. I want to apply for TRV to spend vacations in Canada in summer for 1 month. I have a dependent family with 3 kids here in Oman. I m traveling alone.
My Queries r as under
I have been refused for study visa for UK in 2006 due to insufficient funds available for the cost of my studies and have a stamp on old passport. Should I write the details n provide stamp page also?
Secondly I have CAD 25000 bank statement. Will it be enough for bank statement?
I have some asserts aslo in Pakistan. Should I provide the proof that assers too?
Dependent family and Job in Oman will be enough ties?
What should be mention in cover letter?
Regarding Traval history I have been travelled only for uae in 2015.
What I should do to apply n to avoid rejection?
Regards n Thanks

I would keep your trip to two weeks. I think it's going to seem very strange to CIC that you have a month of vacation planned and are choosing to spend the entire time alone and away from your family. They will likely suspect you have other motives for coming to Canada.

Your bank statement should be fine. It's hard to say if your ties will be enough - they may or they may not be. For travel history CIC is looking for past travel to countries requiring visas like the US and UK.

Yes - you must mention your refusal and should provide a short reason why.

Thanks Scylla..
Actually I ll have 45 days vacation but still make sense what u said... I ll apply for two weeks...
Would it b better if I apply with my family but in that case I ll not have a strong tie in country of residence except my job. Moreover needs more balance to bear the expenditures for family...
One more thing... Should I buy return ticket n hotel booking...
Kindly guid what to write in cover letter...
thanks once again
best regards

Don’t buy tickets until you get the TRV. If you do, you will need return tickets, both for the airline and for CBSA.
