Applying for stud (UAE) - Rejection from Immigration(London)

Hello Everyone,

I'm working in Dubai as IT professional from last 4 years and next month I am going to apply for my Student Visa in Abu Dhabi Embassy.
1) I would like to know, how can I show them ( Visa officier) that I have strong ties with home country and I will be back once my education is complete. The Plus point I have is that I have valid tavelling history from middleast in last two year, I had travelled to Toronto in 2009 and stay there for one month and in 2010 i have visted Turkey, Singapore and Malaysia as well. I have sufficient bank stmt and permenant Job, but dont think I can get the Education leave from my employer for 1 year that is the duration for Masters program.
2) Second concern is I had also applied in 2007 for Canadian Immigration under skilled worker class and my application is rejected because of just 1 less number in Education. Tell me, is this in my favor or not just guide me.

What should I do to make my case more strong. Please share your expierences.

Interesting case indeed :)

First of all, can you show properties in your home countries and tell them that your parents live there and you visit them quite frequently?

The second point is kinda tricky, you were rejected from immigration due to lack of degree and now you are going to Canada to get a degree, LOL fishy...

Brother, write a nice SOP stating that after completing your degree you want to go back to your country and start business of your own.

yar my parents are staying in Saudia and I am working in Dubai, so there is no point i can tell them that my parents are staying back in Pakistan and i have to visit them.

I dont own any property in Pakistan, What i have is enough bank statement.

An Expats cannot be an owner of any property in Dubai.

The second point is, I have BS computer science degree of 4 years and total education of 16 years ..but my immigration process was refused because they have given me 20 marks based on one bachelor degree and my total education was of 16 years. If I was having two degrees then they would have given me 22 marks for education, and I could have easily pass the criteria for skilled worker in Immigration Class.

Thats the reason I am interested in MSIT program which is not available in Pakistan so far.

Appreciate if you could pls forward me sample SOP .. ?

Since i have completed my BS computer science in 2004 am working full time in IT industry so it would be difficult to tell them that I gona start business soon after completion of my Masters program.

Pls guide me .. Thanks

You need to establish a belief in your SOP that the MSIT degree you are planning to pursue is for your career buildup, not for immigration purpose. Since IT field is fast pacing you can say that you need to brush up your skills or things like that.

Im replying little bit late but i hope this help u, For the students canada now changed many regulations as many people take the student visa and when they arrive to canada they ask for the refund to the college and stay as illegal in the country, its suppouse when you open a new file the previous things that you did or previous applications is not suppouse to affect the new file (in your case the student permit)this is what the goverment say BUT ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE THIS IS NOT TRUE!, i hope you can get the visa but is pretty obvious that you go to canada to stay as 1. after finished the course you can apply ont he canadian class experience, 2. you also applied on the skill category in 2007, i strongly will recommend you to apply better on the skill category again, but if you want to make your case stronger, then what they call ties to your country means if you have properties on your name, relatives on your country, loans or credits that you suppouse to pay ony our country but practically this is luck at the end, I remember to my friend they asked him ties to his country and he got rejected 2 times, but in my case they didnt asked me anything, good luck.
ps. Im a canadian citizen arrived to canada in 2006. good luck
