Applying for school while waiting for COPR?

Hey there,

I'm a July 2020 inland applicant. I have AIP and SP and received pre-arrival services letter today. I'm wondering if it's possible if I can start applying for the local university while waiting for COPR? Is there any harm in that? I also have OWP and currently searching for a job.

No harm but you will have to apply as an international student and apply for a study permit until your PR application is approved.

You’ll need to warn the school that you are waiting for PR because international students are evaluated separately and programs accept a certain number of international students that factors into their budget calculations.
