Applying for PRTD with no old passport

Hi,
I'm currently in the process of applying for the PRTD. However, I have thrown out all my old passports that have expired.
I was wondering if anyone else has been in the same shoes. If so what did you do to get your application approved?

FYI: I'm a PR card holder; I just forgot to take it with me to my travels. I've become a resident in mid-2021 so it's been less than 5 years. My current passport has been valid since early 2021.

Do I even have to submit my old passports given that I've only become a resident in mid-2021 and my current passport covers pretty much all the periods since I've got the residency?

Not the answer you are looking for, but you would be far better served to have someone fetch your PR card and courier it to you.

Why do you throw out old passports? Not direclty related but you will need to explain when you apply for citizenship again why you can't send copied of old passports.
