applying for PR will it affect my travels

Hello, I am an American who has a student visa to do my graduate studies in Canada. My student visa is good till august 2011 but I am getting married this july in canada. I wanted to know even though I have my student visa to fall back on to get me into canada, will my applying for my PR this summer affect my travels this summer for my honeymoon?

As well can I apply for my PR before I get married?

You can apply fo your PR before you get married but you will be applying as common law.As you are not married,So would advise you to get married first.Also it will not affect your travels.
