Applying for PR while unemployed

Hi all,
I came to Canada as an international student and graduated wuth 4yr diploma. I have worked as a marketing coordinator (noc 1123) for 1.5 years, and about to do the English test to apply for PR through Express Entry.

I also want to quit my job before applying for PR. I cannot find any statement on Canada.ca website that explicitly says that I cannot apply for PR while unemployed. Is this possible?

If you qualify for any of the EE categories you can apply if you're employed, unemployed, in Canada, outside of Canada . . . the criteria are based on past work experience. If you got extra points for a job offer that could be problematic, but not otherwise.
