Hi Guys. I am desperate. I am really suffering. At this time, I am qualified to apply for PR but I cannot persuade my wife in Philippines to sign on some immigration documents. We were separated for over seven years but for all those years, I am still supporting her financially because I have a son with her. My question is, Can I apply for PR even if I will not include her? There is no Divorce in my country and legal separation takes time and could be messy because of those court battles that may happen. What is the best and fastest way to do so that I could start on my PR application by myself. Any experience regarding this. thanks.

Yes, you can not include her. You still must list her as non-accompanying and note that she refused a medical. This means you can never sponsor her in the future.

The same goes for your son. If you wish to sponsor him now or in the future, he must be in the application and have a medical done. If she is hard to agree on this, point out if he gets a PR (now or later when he's older) he can attend university in Canada without paying the expensive international fees. Hopefully this would help her agree.
