Applying for masters in computer sciences!!

Hello everyone ......I am planning to apply for masters in Canada in Computer Sciences.I wanted to know that whether i can apply to the universities without GRE score even though it says a GRE score is Advisable(on there website,like SFU,CALGARY). Because i've come across many who are applying without a GRE score.I am really confused whether to go ahead or not since i am short on funds as well!!

In US, GRE is mandatory by all the universities for getting admission in Masters but in Canada, GRE is recommended but not mandatory.
I am also a MSc Computer Science student and I secured my admission without giving GRE.

Now it depends on your profile and finances that in which university you want to get enroll.

I wanted to apply to SFU and Calgary ...course based(NON-THESIS).And my profile is decent with 8.5 in IELTS. Now ,should i apply??
