Hi all,
I was hoping to get confirmation of the following -
I am currently on an open IEC visa (expires in one year), working in a skilled position in Canada. My employer has offered me an LMIA (they are currently in the process of applying, however there weren't any other qualified applicants so I am optimistic it will be approved). The LMIA will be in support of my PR application, so there shouldn't be a fee for my employer.
I wanted to confirm my eligibility under the FSW stream, as I also have skilled work experience in Australia, and a degree (currently being evaluated) - in addition to high IELTS scores. As I am on a current visa and have a job offer, I wanted to confirm that I won't need to show proof of funds?
Additionally, if approved, the LMIA will be in support of my PR application. I wanted to confirm if I needed to do anything on my end (eg. have started my EE application) for the LMIA application to be successful?
If the LMIA isn't successful, I should be able to apply under CEC in Jan when I have 1 year of skilled Canadian experience (my points should be approx. 500). At this point, if my current visa were to expire after an ITA but before PR is granted, I wanted to confirm that I could get a bridging visa?
I look forward to hearing from everyone!
