HI All,
I am a daily commuter to US and am close to meeting my physical presence requirement for Canadian Citizenship. I want to move back to the US where my job is, after applying for Canadian citizenship online. Wanted to hear from others who have done the same. Are there any points we have to keep in mind? Anything different we have to do from others who stay in Canada while its being processed?
1. I have read online that people in situation like mine have seen their applications being delayed and being processed differently. How true is this?
2. AI search suggests we have to provide an address within Canada for mailing/communication as they wont mail outside Canada and it also said we have to appoint that person, whose address we are using, as a representative by filling out a form for that. It also says that person should promptly respond to or inform me about any letters promptly.
Is this correct? It said we shuold just not provide someone else's address as mailing address without filling out the representative form.
