Applying for Canada PR from Canada and then moving to US. what happens to my app

Hi,

I have applied for Canada PR through Canada and now my firm wants me to move to the US. What happens to my PR application. Does it get cancelled? DO I have to call and update CIC or should I let the application continue till the medical tests come.

What if I do not inform the CIC that I have moved to the US?

Nothing will happen to your application. Just rest assured that all will go fine, however, you need to:
1- Update CIC on your address change. This is very important
2- Update CIC on your employment change
3- Ensure you maintain your POF valid and ready once CIC asks for it.

If your application is still in its early stages, and you cross a period of over 6 month stay in the US, you might be requested at later stage and before visa issuance is to get a US PCC. However this depends on your VO.

Other than this, enjoy your life and work in the US.

I have not yet got a file number or any response from CIC. How do I change my address from Canada to US with CIC. How do I communicate

I have already sent POF with the money in my Canadian Bank.
