Hi,

I have recently come into contact with an organization called SkillsInternational, who are essentially providing a service which helps you acquire the ExpressEntry Visa for a ( in my opinion gigantic) fee of 9000 dollars. They do not promise a job. While they promise they will help you in every step of the way to getting into Canada, asking for that much money seems like a scam to me.

However, this got me thinking if I was actually applicable for a job in Canada. I have finished my B.Eng in General Engineering from Coventry University in UK. I have three years of work experience in the manufacturing industry. I gave my IELTS in 2006 and scored a 7.5. Would I be applicable for jobs in Canada. And if I was, how would I go about trying to get a job, and hence get my work visa.

Complete fake, there no express visa entry to Canada. Ask them if they'll give you $9000 if you get a job without Canadian experience and Canadian education.

If there was a way to check whether this is a scam or not I would, however no facility exists so I have to assume the worst ( especially since they are asking for ALOT of money). However, I was wondering if someone could actually help me ascertain whether or not it would be worth my while to try and apply for a job in Canada. Canada seems like it has some great opportunities.

You can always try to apply, but the chances are almost nil. Imagine, would you employ someone from outside your country? Someone you do not know or have any contact? Best is to come to Canada and apply from within the country. Works definitely better..

Would anyone be willing to hire me if I am on a visitor visa? Wouldnt an employer think twice before hiring me considering I am just on a visitor visa?

It is illegal to hire anyone on a visitors visa. You need a proper visa first. PR or work permit etc..
