hi! i am a perminent resident in canada and my husband is back in my home country turkey. he recently applied to tourist visa and got denied because they think he is going to overstay his welcome. if we apply for a student visa so he can come here for a language school would that be a red flag for the immigration offier since we got denied once? Thank you!!

Yes - it would be a red flag. Low chances of a study permit being approved for a language school - too many people try to use this as an excuse for coming to Canada when they aren't really genuine students. If he wants to try the study permit route, he should take a university or college program that aligns to his previous education or work experience.

i am going to start the sponsorship process soon but i need him to come to canada first because there is mandatory military service in turkey and we both dont want him to go its too dangerous. We applied for a tourist visa but got denied because 1- because he never left turkey they think he will overstay is welcome 2- they didnt like our purpose of visit which is visiting me. we already gave them a paper from his workplace that said he will continue to work once he gets back but still wasnt enough. what should our next step be?
for the study permit he can only apply to plumbing or electrician programs since the programs he is more interested in are highly competitive and very expensive
