Applying for a dependent (new born baby) who does not have a visa yet (applied and waiting).

Hi,

I am going to apply for my study permit and will add my family members to the application. We are living in Sweden but we are not citizens here though we are permanent residents. I have applied for a passport for my newborn baby at the embassy of my country here in Sweden. It will take a month. Should I wait for the passport and residence permit of the baby or I should apply for me first and then apply for the rest of the family members later?
