Hello all,

My partner submitted a work extension visa back in November of last year and currently, she has not received a reply. She is on implied status right now.

Since submitting the extension, we have become common law, living together continuously for 12 months. I have my Express Entry application currently being reviewed and after updating my marital status to common law, they have asked me to submit my partner's sponsoship paper work by the end of February.

My question is, can my partner apply for another bridging visa before hearing back about the 1st one just in case the 1st one is declined for whatever reason.

Does anyone have any expertise in this area?

Hi

There is no point in applying for another work permit while on Implied Status. If the first one is refused, she would still be out of status and the second app would also be refused.
