Does applying to Canadian PR means losing American GCard?

How about if I get the landing visa for Canada? But use it or don't use it.

"Move to another country" " intending to live there permanently." is statement I worry about. I want to keep my american job.

You need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to retain your pr status. Also now without job offer, it is difficult to get pr in the new express entry system.

No - you won't lose your Green Card. However both the US Green Card and the Canadian PR Card have residency obligations and it tends to be very difficult to meet both at the same time. Unless you qualify for US citizenship soon, you should expect that sooner or later you will have to chose between your US and Canadian status.

Sometimes immigrations officers will take it upon themselves to decide that you can not have both but there are no such rules. In order to keep the US GC, you can not leave for more than a year, preferably not more than 6 months, without first applying for a returning resident permit. Further, US immigration can at any time take your US GC if they believe that you have moved outside the US on a permanent basis.

For Canada PR, you may stay outside for up to 3 years at a time but 2 out of any 5 years must be spent in Canada. It would therefore be hard to keep the Canada PR if you are working full time in the US.

If you had a job where you could spend 5 months a year in Canada every year, you could keep both.
