hello, we are in the lucky position of being able to apply either through the Paris office (because we live in Belgium) or the Berlin office (because the immigrant is from the Netherlands). I checked the website, it appears the Paris waiting times are shorter (9 months vs 13 months). Does anyone know how accurate the website is? or any advice?

thanks everyone, i love this forum

If I had the choice, I'd choose Berlin. Paris is a wee bit chaotic and slightly overloaded, IMO. Berlin seems pretty quick by my estimation. We've had to use Paris. Not a bad experience (yet), it just seems that other embassies in Europe are quicker than Paris. We applied in Dec 2010, some in our group from Lindon and Vienna are already getting their PPR. :(. Paris says 6-12 months and don't call us, we'll cal you.

I had good experience with Paris, not a lot of communication - but looking back at it - it wasn't necessary.
Applied May 6 (package received in Mississauga) and Paris was ready to issue my visa October 7

I actually went down to Paris to give them my passport in person.

Feel free to PM me if you have any additional questions.

We've applied through Paris too, husband is Portuguese. We received the AOR promptly, but can't say any more about how quick they are! Hopefully everything goes smoothly for us too. ;D

**When you took your passport to Paris - how long did it take for you to receive it back?
Thank you,
