Hi All,

Is anyone else having trouble applying online to extend a visitor's visa?
  • I've created a MyCIC account
  • I've gone through the "Check for eligibility" questionnaire
  • I get to the "Create personal checklist" screen
  • Then....nothing.

There is no 'continue' button. I don't get any 'code' number which I need to apply online.

When I get to the "Create personal checklist" screen, it just talks about applying for permanent residency. I've already done that, I just need to apply to extend my current visitor's visa. It's very frustrating.

Can anyone help?

The tool should give you a checklist number. That number can be entered in myCIC so you can continue.

Hi Jalex,

I know the tool should give me a checklist number, but the problem is that it's not doing that. I'm so confused. I'm following all the on screen instructions, but it's not giving me a checklist number :(

Then do it without logging in to myCIC.

That should force the checklist number.

Then login to myCIC to input the checklist number.

Hi Jalex,

I tried that too, and it still doesn't work. The only thing I can think of, is that after answering the questionnaire, we are simply not eligible to apply online. I will call the feds on Monday and ask them directly. *sigh*

Usually when you are not eligible, the system informs you of that.

Good luck with your call.
