Currently in Canada as visitor, with outland spousal PR in progress and SOWP application in progress.
I am weighing whether to apply for visitor status extension or wait for the OWP decision to come through (and I will be on maintained status at that moment).
Some people said that if OWP is rejected, I will have 90 days to either leave the country without being considered 'overstayed' or apply for status restoration. Is that true that: if I leave within the 90 days without applying for status restoration, I won't be considered overstayed?
Can I apply for visitor status extension after my current visitor record expires but while I am on maintained status?
