Thanks for the info - I have decided my best option is to apply outland.

I am currently filling out the forms and wondering if my common law partner (Canadian who is sponsoring me) needs to fill out a copy of the following forms: Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) and Additional Family Information (IMM 5406).

I feel like it's just me (principal applicant) that needs to complete these forms but I'm not 100% sure......seems like your common-law partner only needs to fill these out "if applicable" which I assume means if they are not the ones sponsoring the principal applicant.

Please help clarify if you can!

The sponsor does not need to fill out those forms.

It's pretty easy, just look at the outland package: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Sponsor fills out forms from Part 1.

Applicant/dependents fill out forms from Parts 2 & 3.

Hi all,

How have you handle the issue of applicant address when applying for an outland application within Canada? I already sent my application months ago, and the sponsor has been approved. However, my husband will be moving very soon to Canada, and because I have to do research in a third country for a couple of months, we are not going to have an address in the country I am currently residing. Can I as a applicant change my address to the one of my sponsor will have in Canada?

Any help much appreciated!
