I am Indian citizen and I am doing PhD from USA.
I got PR and now I want to commute between US and Canada.
Will my time be counted towards permanent resident status?

Is there any risk involved?

My PhD will take 4 more years to complete.

1. No, your time outside Canada in the US will not be counted for your Residency obligations.
