Apply for entry visa without record of landing

Hi Everyone,

I has 2 questions:

- Can i apply to surrender the indian passport as I have the Canadian passport already without my record of landing as i have lost it and have applied for Verification of Status right now. The waiting time for VOS document to arrive is roughly 6 months and i cannot wait that much as i have my tickt booked for india Mar 29th 2022.
- Can i apply for 6 months visa for india as i have tickets booked going to india Mar 29th and returning June 29th 2022.
-Also, Do i need to provide the record of landing if i have to apply for entry visa. If i can get the surrender certificate without record of landing, then can i use the surrender certificate and not provide record of landing as part of documents when i am applying for entry visa.

This looks like questions for the Indian consulate. Why don't you contact them directly?

You have Canadian passport. Therefore, no need temporary entry to Canada.
