Apply BOWP when passport expiring in 9 months

Hello,
I want to apply for BOWP as my PGWP is expiring in July this year and PR application has 50 days left till completion date. My passport expiring next year in January.

If I apply BOWP I will have less than a year expired date, my question is after I get the BOWP and then with a new passport can I reapply BOWP to make up enough 1 year?
Need help please.

For my PGWP, my passport expired in 1.5 year after PGWP issued so it expired until that...but I can extend my PGWP after i renew my passport.

So I assume it is the same for bowp?
