Hi,

I have applied for student visa as a single though I was married. As I was newly married and didn't have marriage certificate , i had to mention my marital status as Single.
Will there be any problem when I try to get open work permit for my wife in Canada while I am on student visa and attending college.

So just to clarify that when you arrived in Canada to take up your study permit you were at that time married and not single as per your original application ?

Did you ever send s CSE updating your status? Not sure why you chose to misrepresent yourself. Of course lying can always have consequences. Spouses of international students are not guaranteed a visa to accompany their spouses.

Yes, I'd be married when I take up study permit.
Can you tell me the way to update my marital status before applying for visa from my wife

I didn't lie but my marriage is not registered yet. Only after registration I could provide the certificate. Can you please let me know the process to follow to submit marital status change update.
