Applied over 5 months ago under CEC, still no answer. How long is a normal wait time?

Hello, I applied under Canadian Experience Class over 5 months ago (1st week of October 2018) from within Canada. All papers are in order as far as I am concerned. I have seen processing being done much faster, but not sure why is it taking so long for me. I know on their website it says processing might take up to 6 months, but how long is considered a normal wait time? Is there a significant backlog since October 2018? Has anyone applied in that period and have/have not heard back from IRCC?

Anything in the 6-7 months time frame is completely normal.
It's not it's taking "longer for you". It just that it took much less for some applicants, as the norm is 6 months.
