Applied July - got preliminary approval already

Hello, just to share my current timeline.

We live in Australia and applied in July 2009 and received approval at the end of September, so approx 3 months.
They made contact via email, which was very handy.

We had to get police clearances from 4 countries, which took longer than we had hoped, but today we sent our full application pack for processing.
