Applied for TRV, after receiving a work permit

I've applied for a TRV after receiving my work permit in Aug. 30, and after calling CIC just today, I was told that my application has been transferred for a secondary review.

I've applied for the TRV multiple times and have been approved, however this is the first time something like this happens.
Is it something to be worried about? If that happened to someone, how long did it take until your application was approved/denied?

This is the first time you know about it.

Many TRVs are sent to secondary inspection and people never find out about it.

Is it something to be worried about?

Only you can answer this. Can they find something? Have you been honest and had been respectful of the law? If you have been then I wouldn't worry.

If that happened to someone, how long did it take until your application was approved/denied?

Usually it adds 2-3 more weeks to the processing time.

Well in all honesty, I have never broken the law (not in Canada or my home country). I'm confident they wouldn't find anything that indicates wrongdoing or breakig the law.

Anyway, thank you for your reply...knowing that many TRV applications go thru it is comforting.

I am still waiting after 3 months for thissecondary whatever to finish!! Applied TRV after work permit June 12th nothing yet.

Like you, it never happened to me before, I don't know why suddenly they're doing this!!

It is totally random. Some go through the fast lane, others through several exhaustive revisions.
