Applied for SP and SOWP extensions together, only SP extensions approved, SOWP still in progress. Is that normal?

Hi, we applied for my SP extension and my daugther's SP extension and my spouse's Spousal open work permit extension together on 5 December 2022 and just saw that only the SP extensions were approved and spouse's OWP is still in progress. It has already been more than 5 months since we applied and I dont know what is happening. And also should we wait for spouse's OWP extension approval to apply for visa extension for all of us as a family??

When did you receive your SP approvals? It should take a few more days to get your SOWP approval; if the due date according to IRCC passed already, you could raise a web form.
In terms of your visa, you are allowed to apply as soon as you get your approval even if you don't have the hard copy yet, Then when your SOWP is approved you can apply for that visa as well
