I am working in Canada on an open work permit and I applied for my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) online on Oct 1, 2018 (from Canada). It says online that the processing time for TRV from Canada is 5 days but they havn't started reviewing my application. I really want to go back home next month as my father is not well and my Canadian visa has expired - I think maybe they missed my application online or something like that as its been 17 days now... I tried calling them and they said that the review hasn't started yet.
Is anyone there who applied for a TRV recently from Canada? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am extremely worried.
