Applied for FSW as per new Policy.. Also need to apply for Work Permit.need help

Hello Friends,

I have applied for FSW as per new Policy and have submitted my full application in May. If everything goes right, i should expect Medical and PPT by June end.
Now, i have a small problem, my company wants to send me to Canada for a small assignment(3-4 months). Can i apply for Visa while my PR is in progress? Also, what if New Delhi CHC asks me to submit my Medical and PPT while i am in Canada? Can i transfer my file to Canada?

Any help wud be appreciated

since, you are going for 3-4 weeks,it should not be a problem.

1) where are you planning to apply the W/P from? Try to apply as Delhi because they take only 1 week for short term W/P without any medicals.
2) As per narinder, they give you 45 days to send the passports. whch is about 6-7 weeks. So, you should be back before the medical deadline is over.

Hi Aanban, thanks for the reply, but my trip wud be for 3-4 months. So, if i am in canada while my ppts are asked from Delhi, i wont be able to send them from Canada.

yeah! you are stuck, in that case.. i was in the same situation a month back... left that US assignment.

now, another opportunity is coming for long term canada on W/p. I'm planning to take it up. My wife will travel back with the passports for stamping.. that's what we have thought.
