Hello,
My husband and I have applied for Permanent residency in Canada under the Skilled Worker Category. We reside in the United Kingdom, He is American and I am from Spain. We got our AOR on 18SEP2007 and obviously we are still waiting to be contacted. My husband is the principal applicant and he is doing it under 0611 category, which is in the old work skills, but not in the new 38. I know that our application will be processed as per the old system, but still worried that they are now stricter. If under the NOC 0611 category appears my husband's title 'Account Manager - Sales', does that mean that he is eligible? We both get about 72 points because we both have education to Master's level, he speaks English, and I speak English and decent French.
Thank you for your views.

Hi edupolo,
I am in the same situation (old rules applicant). If the Data on trackitt.com is correct, my research reveals that you should be getting a Documents update letter from CIC London between (latest October and November this year). I think, they call up for documents update ca. 24 Months from date of application and then take anything b/w another 18 Months Maximum to finalize the old applications (Could be far less depending on how quickly and easily the documents and checks are verifiable).

Good to know that there are people on same boat. Yes! we calculated around November or December according to trackitt. I hope we are right. I am starting to get nervous about putting everything together in the 4 months that they give you, since all documents have to be quite recent, especially police certificates...
I need: UK, Spain, USA, and New York state clearance
Husband needs: UK, USA and NY, Pennsylvania and MAryland state clearances.
What a pain that they added these State Clearance condition!
I wonder how the letter that they send to request documents is... do you think it will be a very specific list of what they need, or will we have to figure out what documents they may want to proof stuff?

First of all, I will advise you to download CIC UK VISA office specific requirements and start to get your papers ready, even though there will be a specific list of what they need.

Oh by the way, I am also in the UK and getting the UK PC is easy and should be the last one and the most recent one, assuming you are resident in the UK.
