My timeline is :

Visa office : Singapore

Initial application sent : 6 Mar 2009
AOR Received : 26 Mar 2009
Full application sent : 10 Jun 2009
Received new file number : 11 Jun 2009

E-cas status : Received by visa office, pending reviews.

Please kindly share your experience.

Wow....you seem to be very lucky with CIC because I have seen lots of people on this forum waiting to receive their AOR even after 2 months their submission. Canada's Singapore missions seems to be quicker than others because you got your file number the very next day after submission of file.

With this pace you should be receiving a decision in one month or two.

Actually it's the date stated in the letter, it reached me only a week after, but the strange thing is the date was written by hand not typed, is it all AOR like that? or it's different in each visa office? And I don't really think it's an AOR, AOR always comes with a medical request, right? This letter only stated the new file number and informed us that they have received the application and they will let us know if there's anything they need such as interview or any additional docs. Well, I hope everything went well.

AOR is just an "Acknowledgement of Receipt" of your file. If you received the new file number, then this is your AOR.

Meds will be requested later...

Hi All,

Just checked E-cas today, and the status changed to In process....

"Your application was reviewed and we started processing on July 20, 2009"

I haven't received the medical request, but yet I'm already so excited..will let you know the updates then...
