Hello,

I have the following situation here. My previous common-law partner tried to sponsor me two years ago and got a rejection due to his ineligibility. When he was landing (at the point of entry), he did not declare me as his common-law partner and that is why the application was rejected. I got the file number and CAIPS for that (15 something pages document).

We separated 1,5 years ago and now I got the invitation to apply under Canadian Experience Class. What information should I provide in the letter of explanation regarding this rejected application? Just file number and the reason (sponsor's ineligibility)? Or attach the CAIPS? I really want to speed up the process and wondering how to do it.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!

I was rejected temporary visa years ago when I initially applied to come to Canada. In the question asking whether you were rejected before, I just said "Yes, I was rejected Temporary Resident (Student) on xx-xx-20xx" and didnt mention the reason of rejection.

It never gives me any trouble..

Thank you for the reply! And congratulations on your PR! It gives me hope :)
