My husband and I live in Canada and he is filling the sponsorship form to sponsor me for a permanent residence. The form shows a compulsory section for co-signer. The section only gives a limited option for co-signer status as follows:
Status in Canada*
- Permanent resident
- Canadian citizen by birth
- Canadian citizen by descent
- Naturalized Candian citizen
Since I am only in Canada on a work permit, how do we go about this as my status is not listed above? We have tried to write not-applicable in the box but it wouldn't accept it. The worse thing is that the box is highlighted in red and we can't skip the co-signer section. Please help!!! Thanks in advance.
