Application to open work permit

HI i entered here in canada last december 2018 as a visitor i was invited by my mom who has an open work permit, can i change my status to open work permit although she has only open work permit also can she be my dependant?

we already applied for that we try, i submitted my application permit last april 10 2019 by mail up to now i still havent heard from the immigration about my application can someone help me by answering my questions.

So you already applied for an open work permit and yet you're asking if you can apply?

As a visitor, you don't have the ability to apply for an OWP since you're not a spouse of a person with a permit in Canada.
